As a long time hockey coach here in the Indianapolis area, I have seen the many benefits of training on a hockey treadmill and working with passionate people. Chris Clyne at the Styner Sports Training is one of those people. He can command the attention of high school aged players as well as nurture the growth of the younger players. He is very knowledgeable about skating mechanics and motivated to train competitive athletes with the most up-to-date methods. I highly recommend using the Styner Sports Training if you are serious about improving your team's ability to skate faster, work harder and win hockey games.

On behalf of the Indy Racers Bantam Gold hockey team, we want to thank Styner Sports for providing our team the opportunity to increase our conditioning and skill levels higher than we could have ever imagined. The program you designed for the team, combining off treadmill and on treadmill sessions, provided the spark that carried the team to a 13-4-0 mark in league play starting in December thru the final week of league play in February. The players loved the challenge, and the on ice improvement was evident after the first few weeks of the program a bonus we did not foresee was the great improvement with the goalies. I would recommend to any team struggling to find enough practice ice, forget the ice, train at Styner. The impact of your program would be difficult if not impossible to duplicate on ice. We look forward to incorporating Styner hockey training into all future Racer teams we coach. Thank you for helping our team reach their goals.

Had the pleasure of my son working with Chris Clyne from Styner last summer. My son really enjoyed the workout sessions and gained a lot. Chris is passionate about his athletes, dedicated to raising the bar and helping them achieve their best and attain their goals. I would highly recommend Chris and his company to any individual or team looking to improve their overall performance. -Amy Tokash
Jackson Banguis - Indy Racers (Bantam)
Styner Sports Training is hands-down the best "off-ice" training our so Jackson has received in his 6 years of hockey. We have been impressed not only with Chris Clyne's expertise in skating, shooting and passing, but his ability to push the kids to their limits. Jackson is constantly learning that he has another level he can achieve. The work has paid great dividends on the ice. This past season, Jackson moved up from the Racers B team to the top squad. That team won the Buckeye Travel Hockey League regular-season title and the Chicago Mid-winter Classic PeeWee A division. Four of Jackson's teammates train with Styner. We have trained with several coaches and training facilities in the Indianapolis area. Styner gives us the most return on our investment in time, effort and money.-Chris and Cat Banguis
Talen McBride - Tri-State Spartans (AAA)
Talen plays against the top kids in the nation now and until we went to Styner,he was an A level player and is now AAA playing against and with the best. -Trent McBride
Haley Schultz - HSE Hockey Club
Styner Sports Training has been a wonderful experience for our daughter, Haley. Chris has helped her make tremendous strides in agility, confidence and reaction times in a few months. As a hockey goalie only starting her third year she made the HSE Hockey Club. We credit her hard work and dedication to doing that and Styner was an integral part of that. We truly believe that if we hadn't chosen to train with Chris that would not have happened. Using Styner was one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter's hockey career.-Shad & Stacy Schultz

Chris and all the staff at Styner Sports show true passion in helping others achieve their goals, day in and day out. Chris brings his extensive knowledge for the game of ice hockey into the gym. He not only helps individuals achieve their on-ice aspirations, but works with them to change their lives for the better through fitness. By working with Styner Sports, I was able to achieve my goals of playing NCAA college hockey for 4 years. While as much as it is a personal achievement, I couldn't have done it alone, and the fine staff at Styner was there every step of the way.

I have been training with Styner sports pretty much since they first started. They stay up to date with the latest training techniques and in combination with the knowledge and ability to drive any athlete to reach their full potential. Styner helped me to get to the next level and stay there. I highly recommend Styner as one of the elite training facilities in Indianapolis.

ECHL/SPHLI have been training with styner sports training since they got the hockey treadmill. The facility and staff at Styner are second to none. They provide a great workout atmosphere and provide motivation to get better whether it's on the hockey treadmill, during cross-fit classes, or when using their equipment. I believe that any athlete, regardless of his or her sport would benefit tremendously from training with Styner.

I have known Chris for many years but worked specifically with Chris last hockey season, while he trained a local high-school hockey team. Chris was the lead strength coach and I was there just to provide additional help and supervision. It was Chris's program and I thought he did an excellent job. The program was challenging for the players but not inappropriate and was adjusted based upon up coming schedule of games. The programming combined the aspects of strengthening to the core and lower extremities with some upper body. Cardiovascular conditioning was incorporated through appropriate interval training. Flexibility ,balance and plyometric exercises were also a component to the weekly program. Then in addition, having the hockey treadmill incorporated into the programming of exercises really made for a complete and thorough program. Chris holds the players accountable for their efforts in a very fair but firm way. His heartfelt intention is for the player to improve and the player/parent to get "their monies worth". My background for having an opinion on Chris's program is that I was the Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Indianapolis Ice and Indiana Ice for 15seasons and then the last 4 years, Head Athletic Trainer for the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. I have also coached and worked with high-school hockey players both in Buffalo,N.Y. and Indianapolis for over 20years. I have no reservations giving Chris and his program a strong recommendation.
