Kevin Mckee - USA Sled Hockey Gold Medalist
The Styner facility is top notch. The facility allows players to work on off-ice training as well shooting and skating on their synthetic ice. I personally feel that this training center will help improve any hockey player's game at all ages.

Ben Highsmith - Head Coach - Zionsville Hockey Club
Chris and his team have developed a program to successful train hockey players with sports-specific abilities for speed, power, stamina, and lateral movements that are vital to our team and the way we play hockey. Styner has provided the club with cutting-edge training techniques and opportunities for any athlete. As a coach I have a piece of mind at practice knowing we are getting all our conditioning and strength training needs through Styner which frees up extra time to work on skill and team development at practice. Chris and his staff hold players accountable for their effort and challenges players to get better. The trainers at Styner are very personable and this works to get the best out of any athlete that walks through the door. Styner is a very important aspect in Zionsville’s team success over the years.
Matt Hutton - St. Mary's University (NCAA)
Styner Sports Training is the option you want to choose to take your hockey game to the next level. Chris Clyne has trained me since I was 13 years old and always works hard to put the right personnel and programs together once you walk through the doors of the facility. I'm thankful to have Styner available locally to help the game of hockey.

Styner has created that bond and gives every athlete the tools and equipment to become the best version of themselves.
Jaxson Wiernik - Culver Academy Hockey
My son Jaxson has worked with Chris Clyne and his staff for around 6 years. Chris and the entire Styner team's dedication and passion towards the Indianapolis hockey community is second to none. When I asked Jaxson to comment on what Chris and the staff brings to each workout, he said, "Chris and the other trainers push me way past my comfort zone to make me a better player. These challenges help me achieve my personal goals."
-David Wiernik
Talen McBride - Culver Academy Hockey
My son Talen has achieved so many goals with the help of Chris and his staff at Styner. Every showcase tournament he attends, I end up talking to a college or pro scout, I always tell them his success comes from the mental and physical training he has received at Styner Sports Training since he was 7 years old. The Styner staff are by far the best trainers he has ever encountered and the only ones we choose in the Indianapolis area. My son thinks of Chris and the staff not just as trainers but as close friends.

Maddie Harmeyer - Culver Academy Hockey (Girls)
When our daughter made her commitment to Culver Academies, she knew that came with a summer dedicated to conditioning and strength training. Styner was a natural fit due to her previous experiences with other teams as well as the hockey focused training aspect. However, we quickly realized that their individual approach was going to make it a perfect match to her needs and goals. The Styner team created a 3 month summer program customized to Maddie's baseline testing and training goals. They pushed her each week to get outside of her comfort zone and help her better understand where the hard work can take her.
To say the least, she got very used to being sore but the Styner team continued make it both fun and results driven. At the end of the summer, Maddie improved significantly in every single category including; as an example, starting the summer only being able to do a 3 pull-up max to completing 17 pull-ups in less than :30 seconds during her Culver physical testing.
I higly recommend Styner Sports Training for hockey players looking for individual, team, and customized training for hockey.

Jake Fiete - TPH - AAA U10
We truly believe that what Jake has gained from training at Styner has been a significant contributing factor to his successful transition from house league to travel hockey. His skills and mechanics of skating have improved as well as his strength, endurance, and overall athleticism. He absolutely loves going to Styner. "My favorite things about Styner is the trainers. They help make me a better athlete. I also like them as people and they easily explain how the workouts can help make me stronger, faster, and better on the ice. I like doing testing so I can see my progress of improvement. Even though the workouts are hard, I know they're going to help me and I still have fun doing them."

Jared Lavender - ECHL/CHL
I have been training with Styner sports pretty much since they first started. They stay up to date with the latest training techniques and in combination with the knowledge and ability to drive any athlete to reach their full potential. Styner helped me to get to the next level and stay there. I highly recommend Styner as one of the elite training facilities in Indianapolis.
Brad Denney - ECHL/SPHL/FHL
I have been training with styner sports training since they got the hockey treadmill. The facility and staff at Styner are second to none. They provide a great workout atmosphere and provide motivation to get better whether it's on the hockey treadmill, during cross-fit classes, or when using their equipment. I believe that any athlete, regardless of his or her sport would benefit tremendously from training with Styner.
Duane Weber - Indy Steel Sled Hockey
I am the head coach of the Indy Steel sled hockey team in Indianapolis and Chris has graciously has opened up his facility to our players. What has struck me most about working with Chris and the staff at Styner is their interest in the athletes and their development. Chris clearly took time to research how to work with adaptive athletes and understand how to help them improve. Chris and his staff are perfect for helping them be the best they can be. We are very pleased with out experience at Styner and intend to make it a regular part of our off-ice program for sled hockey development.

I have known Chris for many years but worked specifically with Chris last hockey season, while he trained a local high-school hockey team. Chris was the lead strength coach and I was there just to provide additional help and supervision. It was Chris's program and I thought he did an excellent job. The program was challenging for the players but not inappropriate and was adjusted based upon up coming schedule of games. The programming combined the aspects of strengthening to the core and lower extremities with some upper body. Cardiovascular conditioning was incorporated through appropriate interval training. Flexibility ,balance and plyometric exercises were also a component to the weekly program. Then in addition, having the hockey treadmill incorporated into the programming of exercises really made for a complete and thorough program. Chris holds the players accountable for their efforts in a very fair but firm way. His heartfelt intention is for the player to improve and the player/parent to get "their monies worth". My background for having an opinion on Chris's program is that I was the Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Indianapolis Ice and Indiana Ice for 15seasons and then the last 4 years, Head Athletic Trainer for the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. I have also coached and worked with high-school hockey players both in Buffalo,N.Y. and Indianapolis for over 20years. I have no reservations giving Chris and his program a strong recommendation.
A.J. McIntosh - Hockey Coach - Park Tudor Panthers (7 time AAA/AAAA State Champs)Indianapolis Checkers (3 time AA/AAA State Champs)Indianapolis Racers (3 time AA State Champs, 2010 CSDHL Champs and 2011 National Champs)
As a long time hockey coach here in the Indianapolis area, I have seen the many benefits of training on a hockey treadmill and working with passionate people. Chris Clyne at the Styner Sports Training is one of those people. He can command the attention of high school aged players as well as nurture the growth of the younger players. He is very knowledgeable about skating mechanics and motivated to train competitive athletes with the most up-to-date methods. I highly recommend using the Styner Sports Training if you are serious about improving your team's ability to skate faster, work harder and win hockey games.
Allen Sprunk - Head Coach
(USA Hockey Coach 1970 – 2017 75 time tournament champions - 9 time Indiana State Champions)
On behalf of the Indy Racers Bantam Gold hockey team, we want to thank Styner Sports for providing our team the opportunity to increase our conditioning and skill levels higher than we could have ever imagined. The program you designed for the team, combining off treadmill and on treadmill sessions, provided the spark that carried the team to a 13-4-0 mark in league play starting in December thru the final week of league play in February. The players loved the challenge, and the on ice improvement was evident after the first few weeks of the program a bonus we did not foresee was the great improvement with the goalies. I would recommend to any team struggling to find enough practice ice, forget the ice, train at Styner. The impact of your program would be difficult if not impossible to duplicate on ice. We look forward to incorporating Styner hockey training into all future Racer teams we coach. Thank you for helping our team reach their goals.
