Who we are:
Chris Clyne - Co-Owner
Chris is the co-owner of Styner Sports Training. The idea of the business began a number of years ago when a many hockey players pursued him for his training skills. Chris does all sorts of training, such as on-ice, off-ice, individual, group, and team sessions. The goal isn't just to improve the skill and strength of the athlete, but to also improve their knowledge of the game and to teach the game itself.
Chris' hockey experience began at the late age of 13 . He began playing youth hockey at the Pepsi Coliseum and then continued up to the North Central Varsity hockey club three years later. Throughout his time at N.C., he was a part of the '04 and '05 state championship teams, as well as being the team captain his senior year in 2006. Chris then continued his hockey career in Cleveland, OH, playing Jr. "A" for the Lumberjacks. Soon after, he played college hockey at Robert Morris University, where he helped the team to the ACHA Midwest runner up championship. Chris has also been an assistant coach for North Central's High School program and has had amateur pro tryout contracts in the past as well.

Matt Young - Trainer
Matt is a trainer at Styner Sports Training. He has a passion for performance and helping all athletes and people achieve their goals through exercise and physical activity. Graduating from Hanover College with a degree in Kinesiology, Matt uses his knowledge of the body and how it works to design and enact workout plans for clients to achieve their goals. Matt has lived in the Indianapolis area his entire life and wishes to go into a career of personal training and coaching.

Tom O'Brien - Goaltending Coach/Trainer
Tom is a trainer and goaltender from Indianapolis who currently attends Indiana University. He is Studying Kinesiology through the School of Public Health where he holds a great interest and passion in strength conditioning and athletic development. Tom previously attended North Central High School and play 4 years for the Zionsville Hockey Club. Throughout high school, Tom trained at Styner, furthering his knowledge and passion for hockey development and a desire to give back to the sport. He currently plays for IU in the ACHA.
Tom is a trainer and goaltender from Indianapolis who currently attends Indiana University.
