Do I need to be in good shape before I start training at Styner?
Not one bit! That's where we come in! We are here to help you get as fit as possible, as fast as possible! When you walk through our door you will receive elite fitness coaching. It's possible that you may need the workouts to be scaled to your current level of fitness. Every one of our exercises can be scaled in a variety of ways. We will accommodate your fitness level, from first couch potato to professional athlete, as well as work with injuries and physical limitations.
What if I can't do push-ups, pull-ups and other difficult exercises?
When you train at Styner you will be doing pull-ups, power cleans, and squats! We have many ways to scale the exercises so that you can perform the movement safely and easily regardless of your current level strength. We guarantee that if you train with us, we will have you walking through the doors in no time performing exercises you never imagined were possible. The best part is it's FUN!
I recently suffered an injury, can I still train?
Absolutely! The worst thing you can do when you get hurt is neglect the rest of your body. Always ask your doctor to explain the exercises/activities that you CAN do, and not just the ones you can't! We can always find a way to help you make progress and look great without causing pain to your injury, and more importantly do our best to make it better in the process. If physical therapy is what you need, we have no problem directing you to some great ones in the area!
What can I expect during the open gym times?
You can expect to learn something at each visit. We always provide various workouts to help you improve the way you want to improve. Why pay $40 for a personal training class when we can help you at your own speed, desire, and progressive pace that fits your needs?
