Tis the season and we are BUSY!
We have had a great start to the season with all programs that are currently apart of Styner. High School teams Westfield and Zionsville have been hard at work, developing their younger and new additions to the programs and improving testing numbers like non other! Big shout out to Meader (Westfield) for improving on his 3RM squat by 70lbs. Another shout out to goaltender Chinni (Zionsville) on his 390lbs 3RM squat, which is a new record for high school players here at Styner The girls Fusion program has been skating extremely well so far this season. The girls have had some successful weekends and the players are really coming around with their improved times and speeds on the hockey treadmill. T.P.H. / Tri-State Spartans have been utilizing Styner this year. We travel down to the south side of Indianapolis and have over 30 players run through hockey programs to enhance their game. Players are finding new strengths to their game and the future with that organization is strong. HOLIDAY SEASON! Styner will be blasting out info on social media about Cyber Specials and Xmas hours. Please keep a close eye out for things to catch the deals. We are also excited to announce some exciting news tomorrow. Along with more news coming in December. Cheers to everyone on a safe and happy holiday! -Chris

As games begin within the next week or so, we at Styner Sports Training have been extremely busy!! A lot has happened since the last post, which we apologize for going MIA.
Updates: We have hired on some new staff and we're confident in our team. Please see who we have added on our Staff page. Teams/Programs: Styner has started its 4th season with the Zionsville Hockey Club. After a strong finish last year and coming up just short of a 4A State Championship, the team is winning on its mind going into the 2019-2020 season. Key returning players are McCourt, Tromiczak, Liam Donovan, and goaltenders Chinni and O'Brien. Coach Wallace and his coaching staff are excited to develop the new players and we wish them a successful season. We are happy to bring on the Westfield Ice Rocks for their 1st year training at Styner. Jeff Gasior has a VERY motivated hockey club and we know there will be great improvements throughout the season. The Fusion have returned for yet another year of training at Styner. We are a big support of the girls hockey program within the city and we love to do our part to help the girls develop and to also grow the sport. As we have worked with many of them over the course of the summer and last couple of years, their training now takes things up a notch this season and we're interested in seeing the level of improvement this year. Styner is very happy to announce its partnership with TPH. Total Package Hockey moved to the south side of Indianapolis this season and they're looking at player development in a new way. Training is done on location at The Gathering Place on the south side. We are excited to build on this promissing partnership. Notes: As we all know, Carmel Ice Skadium being down has affected a lot of our season thus far. Styner IS available for additional teams and/or group training. We're proud to have returning the Carmel Icehounds program for their 4th straight season at Styner. City rival, Zionsville, will be returning as well for their 3rd season. Both teams had great tryout sessions this summer and this upcoming season will be nothing but a coin toss between the two clubs. As the hockey season has concluded for most, Styner would like to congratulate the teams and individual players that came in throughout and worked hard to become better.
New Styner Scholarship I'd like to personally congratulate the Carmel Blue team on something quite amazing. In October of 2017, Styner challenged each of the high school teams who train at the facility, to raise money to help sponsor a youth hockey player in financial need for the following season. Head coach Mike Christe expressed to his club to take advantage of this opportunity and give back towards the youth. For the amount donated by the players, Coach Christe would then match it. The Blue team donated $301 and Styner couldn't be more proud. We have elected to call this sponsorship the "Player's Honor Scholarship." Each season, we will provide this opportunity and challenge the teams training at Styner, to help someone in need in the hockey community. Great work Carmel Blue!! Scheduling We have decided to transition into online scheduling. The process is actually pretty easy. I’m personally glad to have found something that will turn out to be more convenient for everyone. All you have to do is: 1. Go to www.stynersportstraining.com 2. Go to the Hockey tab and under it will show “scheduling” (click) 3. Then you’ll see on the page a calendar where you’re able to pick the dates and times you’d like to come in. There is a max of 5 kids per session. If there is a date or time that isn’t available, don’t hesitate to contact. We'll do our very best to make things work. Thank you all as always for supporting Styner Sports Training. We'll see you soon!!! Another successful year in the books. Styner Sports Training just turned 5 years old in January. We have been hard at work to develop this business properly. We want people to feel confident when they come in. We want everyone know KNOW they will get better when coming into Styner. We're excited to see what the next 5 years brings to the table.
Styner recently sponsored an IYHA hockey player to play this season for free. We had a great amount of positive feedback with our donation where we challenged the high school teams that train at Styner throughout the season, to raise money to sponsor another kid for next season. We have elected to call this the Styner Youth Scholarship. Each year the players from the teams have a chance to donate money that will go right back to a player/family in financial need to play hockey. Lastly, there have been a few teasers over the last few months involving hockey here in Indianapolis. I personally cannot wait to share everything that has been in development. Please keep your eyes open. Enjoy the rest of the hockey season everyone!! -Chris Styner Sports Training is happy to announce the sponsoring of a player from Carmel's youth hockey program (IYHA). We have been exploring ways to support the growth in hockey here in Indianapolis lately we want to take this opportunity right now to financially help a family to continue their path in hockey. We never want to see someone come across a situation where they are unable to play hockey. We want to see the sport grow.
Styner has also made a donation of a brand new stick to a high school player here in the city. We had heard through some close friends that someone was in need and we took advantage to help. We have elected to keep these people anonymous but we will continue to be there to assist the hockey community here in Indianapolis. This is just the beginning. We have SO MUCH more we're beginning to work on. Stay tuned for more news very soon. Styner Sports Training "Changing the face of hockey in Indianapolis" I apologize for going MIA for a tad bit, but I must say, we have been extremely busy!!
It has been a great year so far! Styner had a fantastic summer. We had over 30 hockey players make teams they were trying out for. We developed new programming to help players personally improve upon their skills, saw a tremendous increase in testing numbers, and most of all, we made a lot of people happy. Teams @ Styner: Styner just wrapped up the Carmel Icehounds preseason training camp. Carmel Gold lost some key players last season but also gained a strong number of skilled individuals who are motivated to work hard. We are looking forward to the success they will have this upcoming season. Carmel Blue has taken on their usual 20 man roster with an additional 5 practice squad players to continue development within the program. We are a strong believer in this move, for which it keeps the kids motivated to work hard and we believe it brings more value to the program. Styner is also happy to have the Zionsville Hockey Club back in action starting in September. Zionsville had a great season last year becoming the #3 team in the state. Head Coach Wallace is ready to take on the challenges this coming season with some fresh faces on the squad and their solid goaltenders in net. Allen Sprunk’s Bantam Racers will be back in action at the facility as well! Coach Sprunk brought his team in last season and saw how the hard work truly paid off. Their return early will give the team a great advantage early in the season. Recently we launch a promo video. Check it out below! https://youtu.be/YDBh_-VawDc Hello!
