Another successful year in the books. Styner Sports Training just turned 5 years old in January. We have been hard at work to develop this business properly. We want people to feel confident when they come in. We want everyone know KNOW they will get better when coming into Styner. We're excited to see what the next 5 years brings to the table.
Styner recently sponsored an IYHA hockey player to play this season for free. We had a great amount of positive feedback with our donation where we challenged the high school teams that train at Styner throughout the season, to raise money to sponsor another kid for next season. We have elected to call this the Styner Youth Scholarship. Each year the players from the teams have a chance to donate money that will go right back to a player/family in financial need to play hockey.
Lastly, there have been a few teasers over the last few months involving hockey here in Indianapolis. I personally cannot wait to share everything that has been in development. Please keep your eyes open.
Enjoy the rest of the hockey season everyone!!
Styner Sports Training is happy to announce the sponsoring of a player from Carmel's youth hockey program (IYHA). We have been exploring ways to support the growth in hockey here in Indianapolis lately we want to take this opportunity right now to financially help a family to continue their path in hockey. We never want to see someone come across a situation where they are unable to play hockey. We want to see the sport grow.
Styner has also made a donation of a brand new stick to a high school player here in the city. We had heard through some close friends that someone was in need and we took advantage to help. We have elected to keep these people anonymous but we will continue to be there to assist the hockey community here in Indianapolis.
This is just the beginning. We have SO MUCH more we're beginning to work on. Stay tuned for more news very soon.

"Changing the face of hockey in Indianapolis"
I apologize for going MIA for a tad bit, but I must say, we have been extremely busy!!
It has been a great year so far! Styner had a fantastic summer. We had over 30 hockey players make teams they were trying out for. We developed new programming to help players personally improve upon their skills, saw a tremendous increase in testing numbers, and most of all, we made a lot of people happy.
Teams @ Styner:
Styner just wrapped up the Carmel Icehounds preseason training camp. Carmel Gold lost some key players last season but also gained a strong number of skilled individuals who are motivated to work hard. We are looking forward to the success they will have this upcoming season. Carmel Blue has taken on their usual 20 man roster with an additional 5 practice squad players to continue development within the program. We are a strong believer in this move, for which it keeps the kids motivated to work hard and we believe it brings more value to the program.
Styner is also happy to have the Zionsville Hockey Club back in action starting in September. Zionsville had a great season last year becoming the #3 team in the state. Head Coach Wallace is ready to take on the challenges this coming season with some fresh faces on the squad and their solid goaltenders in net.
Allen Sprunk’s Bantam Racers will be back in action at the facility as well! Coach Sprunk brought his team in last season and saw how the hard work truly paid off. Their return early will give the team a great advantage early in the season.
Recently we launch a promo video. Check it out below!

Styner is (finally) happy to announce that both the Carmel Icehounds and Zionsville Eagles Hockey Clubs will be training at Styner Sports Training this season. Carmel Icehounds "Gold" and "Blue" teams begin their pre-season training August 1st and then will continue throughout the regular season. Zionsville begins their season training August 20th and will continue until state finals.
We are very excited to have both of these fantastic programs training at Styner. We are confident every player will discover new levels of hard work that will be utilized towards their success on the ice. Best of luck to both programs and all three teams this season. We will see you soon!

A very quick update on Styner.
-this summer we have a lot going on at Styner. Currently we are putting together a high school level camp/clinic (ages 14+). We plan to run this for a number of weeks with about 2-3 sessions per week. We want to help improve the high school level here in Indy and this is our way of doing so. To help develop stronger skill sets, overall strength, and help incorporate knowledge of the game. To help make this a great opportunity, Styner is working with Kevin Hanlon (former strength and conditioning coach for the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars organizations).
-Styner is also offering group training sessions. Please contact for more info.

The Carmel Icehounds reached out to Styner last summer about doing some team training for their varsity A and varsity B teams. After some in depth conversations, we created a great friendship. On March 12, Carmel's varsity A team won 4A state with the varsity B team winning 2A state. We couldn't be more proud of the organizations accomplishments. All of the kids truly understand what it means to give 100%. They set their goals, stuck with them during the tought periods, and made sure to never give up. The Carmel Icehounds program is doing something very sepcial with these kids. Well deserved.
We have changed our weekday morning class time from 9:30am to 9am. If you have any questions, please let us know!
